Board Opportunity

A 25-member Board of Directors governs the Springfield Ballet. The Board is comprised of individuals in the community with varied and diversified backgrounds. Public, private, and corporate donations; regional and state agency underwriting; and foundation gifts provide financial support.

Board members serve for a term of three years, running July 1 - June 30 with the opportunity for two consecutive terms.

Requirements: A member of the Springfield Ballet Board of Directors (SBBOD) is appointed to hold the position based on demonstrated commitment, involvement and support of the organization. In accepting this position, the member agrees to fulfill the requirements, responsibilities and expectations associated with board membership. It is not required to have ballet, dance or theatre background to become a member. We encourage professionals from all backgrounds to be involved with our organization.
